For more than two decades, he has worked at the intersection of philanthropy, community organizing, and social entrepreneurship, helping institutions mobilize resources, partnerships, and capital to promote equity and opportunity.
Through Giddings Consulting Group, he offers strategic guidance to nonprofit and community-based organizations across the United States. His work focuses on building sustainable philanthropic platforms, strengthening board leadership, increasing donor engagement, and designing programs that deliver measurable community impact. His consulting has helped organizations launch new philanthropic initiatives, secure major grant funding, and develop collaborative partnerships that expand program reach and ensure long-term sustainability.
Earlier in his career, Giddings held leadership roles in the nonprofit sector. He served as Executive Director of Mawuni, where he helped establish the organization’s legal and governance structures, launched leadership programs for LGBTQ youth, and built partnerships with educational institutions and community groups. He also served as Project Leader at Harlem RBI, where he developed health and wellness education initiatives reaching thousands of families and helped secure $2.5 million in public funding to expand community health programs.
Giddings has long been recognized for his ability to build coalitions across philanthropy, government, and grassroots organizations. His earlier roles include senior consulting work with the Federation of Protestant Welfare Agencies, where he provided technical assistance and organizational development support to dozens of nonprofits, as well as leadership roles in faith-based and community advocacy initiatives focused on youth development, public health, and social justice.
His civic leadership includes serving on the Board of Trustees of The King’s Daughter’s Day School, the Board of Directors of Girl Scouts Heart of New Jersey, and the New Jersey Legislative Black Caucus Foundation. In these roles, he offers expertise in governance, philanthropy, and strategic partnerships to strengthen organizations that serve children, families, and communities.
Giddings maintains a deep commitment to lifelong learning and leadership development. He serves as a Strell Fellow at the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College and is enrolled in the Executive Program in Social Impact Strategy at the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Social Policy and Practice. Additionally, he completed the Executive Diploma in Public Health and Climate Change at the Yale School of Public Health. He now applies these insights in his intersectional work connecting philanthropy, public health, and climate justice.
He has also completed executive leadership and nonprofit management training at Columbia University, The New School, and the Coro New York Leadership Center, and is a Senior Fellow of the Environmental Leadership Program. As an ordained minister, he brings a values-driven approach to leadership grounded in service, collaboration, and community accountability.
