Associate Director of Sustainability Programs for Global Occupier Services, Cushman & Wakefield
ELP Senior Fellow (SERN 2007); ELP Board Member (April 2026 - Present)
A problem-solver and designer by nature, Heather brings more than 20 years' experience in sustainability strategy, conflict resolution, and organizational leadership. Early on, she developed a specialty in the field of urban ecology - an advancing discipline that recognizes the built environment and the humans who occupy it as integral ecosystem components. As a strategic sustainability expert, she has a deep understanding of the pieces needed to create healthy, sustainable buildings, organizations, and communities and how that can scale to a global level.
At Cushman & Wakefield, Heather serves as the Associate Director of Sustainability Programs for Global Occupier Services, leading teams to help clients reduce their energy, water, and waste and achieve green building certifications. Previously, Heather worked as a sustainability consultant and was a director in the LEED department at USGBC, where she managed national sustainability initiatives. Heather currently serves as the chair of the Career Development Committee for the Women’s Integrated Network at C&W. In 2009, she co-founded Urban Green Lab, a Nashville-based organization delivering sustainability education for individuals, schools, and businesses citywide.
