The District Department of the Environment is seeking a second program specialist to help implement our innovative, nationally recognized energy benchmarking disclosure program, along with helping develop other policies to reduce energy use and carbon pollution by 50% by 2032, create local demand for skilled workers, and produce new market opportunities for investment in the existing building stock. The position will provide guidance, training, and assistance to the regulated community and handle enforcement activities for the energy benchmarking program. The position will also develop other other innovative energy policies in support of the Sustainable DC Initiative. The current program manager, Marshall Duer-Balkind, is an ELP fellow.
