Community gardens and urban farms create a wealth of social and environmental benefits for cities. Yet few farms or gardens are able to measure, track, and share the outcomes and impacts of their work. This webinar introduces farmers and gardeners to a hybrid kit of tools for data collection in community gardens, drawing on casework done in Newark, N.J. during the summer of 2014.
Participants will discover how DIY environmental sensing technologies and grassroots research protocols can help them get a better handle on their day-to-day work at their own urban farms and gardens.
