The Adams County Climate Justice Team is an environmental justice focused part-time temporary employment program for youth. Participants will work on projects focused on improving the physical environment in the Commerce City and South Thornton area. Projects will focus on distributing water purifiers and pitchers to homes in need. Some other activities include attending/planning community events, canvassing homes, and learning about water quality issues in the area. Participants are expected to work ~72 hours between approximately 08/2024-06/2025, implementing these projects, connecting with community, growing as leaders, and building hard and soft employment skills while learning about the environmental justice issues in this community.

Groundwork Denver is seeking a part-time temporary intern to assist in energy audits, energy efficiency improvements & air sealing. The Intern will go to in-home visits with the Energy Team to investigate needed upgrades regarding insulation, air sealing, appliances, heating systems, and other energy features of the home.
