Tiffany Hays is an educator at Friends Select School. She will be teaching 5th grade science and 6th grade math Fall 2012. For the past 9 years, she has been teaching at The Baldwin School. There she was instructing eighth grade earth science and twelfth grade environmental science courses. She designed the environmental science curriculum, which aimed to provide an understanding of global change by examining the biological, chemical, and physical processes that both impact and are affected by anthropogenic actions. In addition, the class addressed major environmental policies, social and legal ramifications on affected parties, and the methods by which future change can be enacted. Previously, Tiffany was a Health Education Peace Corps Volunteer in Togo, West Africa where she helped lead an initiative to encourage the continued education of adolescent girls. As a graduate student in environmental policy, Tiffany interned at in the Environmental Services Department at MeadWestvaco, an international paper company.
