E. J. McAdams is the Director of Institutional Giving New York for The Nature Conservancy whose mission is to preserve the diversity of life on Earth by protecting the lands and waters they need to survive. Previously, he was the Executive Director for New York City Audubon, where he saved the nest of celebrity red-tailed hawks Pale Male and Lola, and an Urban Park Ranger for the City of New York's Department of Parks and Recreation, where he opened a nature center in Brooklyn and re-introduced screech owls to Central Park. He is a published poet who is involved in the emerging ecopoetics and eco-art movements, and has a exhibit at The Bronx Museum of the Arts in September 2015 called "Trees are alphabets.". He lives in New York City with his wife and three children.
