Gretchen is a Co-Founder and the Website Monitoring Program Leader at the Environmental Data and Governance Initiative (EDGI), which documents and analyzes environmental governance issues. Gretchen holds a PhD in geochemistry from the University of Michigan and BA's in Chemistry and Environmental Earth Science from Dartmouth College. After postdoctoral positions at the EPA and Duke University, Gretchen pursued community science and science communication in the nonprofit realm, first at Public Lab. In 2016 she co-founded EDGI and has been putting analytic and communications skills to work developing a robust program to monitor, document, analyze, and report on changes to public environmental information and federal environmental and information policies.
