Josephine is passionate about food, community, and bringing people together over a shared meal. She is a life-long food justice advocate and lover of farms, food, and health. She thrives in building relationships, managing operations, and supporting staff. Currently, she is Deputy Director at Common Good City Farm. She joined the farm in 2015 and has led the development and expansion of programs such as the Farm Market, workshops, and community events, as well as building the organization’s communications, fundraising events, development, operations, and racial equity work. She co-founded and co-led Zenful Bites from 2012 to 2020, a women-of-color owned social enterprise that provided plant-based eco-catering services and food education programming to foster a sustainable and fair food system in the DC metro region, partnering with organizations such as DC Central Kitchen, ECO City Farms, DC Department of Park and Recreation, and Beyond Pesticides.
