I was raised in Florida by my Cherokee grandparents. I moved to Oregon in 2009, after their passing, to pursue an education in Environmental Sciences. I love being outside and look for any opportunity to engage with people and wildlife outdoors, wether doing field work, grassroots organizing, gardening, or exercising! I am an avid cyclist and have 5+ years experience volunteering, serving on board or directors and working full-time for statewide 501c3 non-profit organizations. I also have 2 pet rabbits and I enjoy reading scientific journals as well as a wide variety of native american poetry and literature.
