Personal pronouns: She, her, hers

Katherine Gomero is using her  Dual Bachelors Degree in Film Production and International Relations towards a concentrated focus on environmental issues,  sustainability, through advocacy and documentary skills building.  A childhood fondness of all things marine naturally reflected her nature to seek out conservation efforts right after college when she could not find those outlets while in school.   A City College Fellowship to study marine biology in Costa Rica brought her back to wanting to advocate for the rights of the Oceans.  Katherine has become part of an activist community and grown from pipeline and water quality activism to developing the visibility of conservation and indigenous justice in her native Peru.  As an independent traveler and adventurous individual, she has sought out stories through her personal identity journey as a native Peruvian, experiencing the struggle in isolated communities in Iquitos, Peru.  Her film background has expanded from community outreach, directing, and developing journalism skills in investigative research, to developing further skills as a RED assistant camera operator for a wildlife documentary set to come out soon.

Presently, Katherine works for the Wildlife Conservation Society, taking in all video projects the organization's NYC headquarters manages as Assistant in Production and Editing.  To stay proactive on environmental issues during her spare time, she is part of the Volunteer Dive Team at the NYC Aquarium where she can learn about the Wildlife Conservation Society's plans for a Sustainable NYC as well as marine education.  She has  dedicated her time to research about the Williams Pipeline affecting her native Staten Island NY, newly collaborating with different groups in the Southern region of NYC.
