Lauren is the Director of Education at the Raritan Headwaters Association in Gladstone, NJ. She began her environmental career at Cook College (now the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences) at Rutgers University. After graduating with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Biological Sciences in 2007, she spent a year-long term of service as an Americorps NJ Watershed Ambassador, where she worked with the community through volunteer and educational events. Since then, she's held various positions at Raritan Headwaters, including Volunteer Coordinator, Stewardship Program Manager, Water Quality Program Manager, and has been Director of Education since 2014. She enjoys running education programs at schools and in streams, Summer Nature Day Camp, an award winning River-Friendly Schools program, and other programs for the community.
Lauren is a certified yoga instructor and enjoys teaching yoga outdoors at yoga hikes, forest bathing meditation programs, and is looking forward to instructing goat yoga sessions at a local farmers market this summer! She is on the Farm Market Committee for the Hunterdon Land Trust Farmers' Market, a producers only farmers' marker in rural NJ. She also enjoys birding, hiking, cooking, painting, and all sorts of arts and crafts!
