Alex Batka is a Program Officer for WWF's Russell E. Train Education for Nature Program (EFN), and she focuses mainly on communications and grant management. EFN is a capacity building program that provides financial support to conservation leaders throughout Asia, Africa, and Latin America to receive advanced degrees and trainings. Alex manages grants for short-term training and research in the Galapagos specifically, and loves being able to work with amazing researchers in the field. 

Along with her grant managment work, Alex serves as the communications specialist for the team. In this role, she creates content highlighting the impact of EFN grantees and their work. She also oversees the development and organization of EFN's publications. Alex began her career in publishing, and now loves being able to use her communication skillset to help bring attendtion to the great conservation work taking place around the globe.
