Kate is a real estate manager at Orsted US Offshore Wind where she has worked since 2018. Orsted is the leading developer of offshore wind farms in the US and is currently developing the Skipjack Wind Farm.

Previously, Kate worked at the Chesapeake Conservancy where she led the Nanticoke River Conservation Corridor initiative to protect land through conservation easements.  

Kate has a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Maryland and Masters in Public Administration from the Evans School of Public Policy and Governance at the University of Washington in Seattle. Her master’s thesis focused the siting of offshore wind energy projects in Washington’s coastal waters. She is a 2013 graduate fellow of the Environmental Defense Fund’s Climate Corps program. Kate lives in Annapolis and serves chair of the Annapolis Environmental Commission. In addition to her commitment to the environment, Kate is a part-time college and career counselor and grant writer for a small nonprofit that serves low-income students and families. She is also a board member of the Anne Arundel Conflict Resolution Center.
