Priya Cook is currently working to design and launch the Alumni Support program at City Kids Wilderness Project, after nearly five years leading the Cities Connecting Children to Nature (CCCN) initiative at the National League of Cities' Institute for Youth, Education, and Families. Priya was formerly the Middle School Programs Director at City Kids Wilderness Project, and has worked across the U.S. addressing equity in education, policy, and outdoor youth development, including on the Texas-Mexico border and in interior Alaska. She serves on the Student Conservation Association Board of Directors and on her Advisory Neighborhood Commission's Public Space Committee in Washington, D.C. Priya holds a B.A. in great books from the University of Notre Dame and a Master’s in public policy from the University of Texas, Austin. A 2009 Appalachian Trail thru-hiker, she now relishes a meander down Piney Branch with her young children.
