Deeply committed to connecting people to one another and the natural world, Lisa's past work experience includes education, ecological restoration, public lands policy, and facilitation with a variety of agenices and organizations including the U.S. Forest Service, National Park Service, The Nature Conservancy, Columbia Gorge Community College, and South Gifford Pinchot Collaborative. In her current position with the Columbia River Gorge Commission, Lisa is focused on climate adaptation and mitigation in the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. She also serves as a facilitation trainer with Oregon Humanities.

Lisa has a M.A. in Applied Theology from Marylhurst University (2013) and a B.S. in Natural Resources from The Ohio State University (1998). The published article,"Restoring a Rhythm of Sacred Rest in a 24/7 World: An Exploration of Technology Sabbath and Connection to the Earth Community," summarizes her research at the intersection of ecology, psychology, and spirituality. She continues to build upon this work through writing and workshops about intentional technology use and the meaning of rest in today's world.
