Raj started Young Mountain Tea three years ago while on a Fulbright Fellowship in India. It began with a deal -- if Himalayan communities would grow tea, Raj would start a company in the US to sell it. In addition to tea, Raj runs a self-publishing company with his father and works with a non-profit named Wild Gift, which uses the wilderness to  inspire the next generation of thought leaders.  He loves ultimate frisbee and the ocean.
