Karla is a first-generation Ecuadorean-American, born and raised in Northern Virginia. She spent 10 years between Vermont and Massachusetts, and is now settled in Philadelphia. They are passionate about environmental equity, urban conservation and community engagement. By day they work at River Network as the Community Engagement Manager, and by night they help manage Feminist Bird Club as the Chapter Relations Chair.
