Motivated by her personal experience with asthma, other health challenges and being a single mother of an autistic child, she became an advocate in Camden for Clean Air, a group that stopped a proposed microgrid from being powered by the trash incinerator that is the largest air polluter in Camden County, New Jersey.

Currently Richelle works as the Research & Public Relations Director for Salvation and Social Justice (SandSJ) communications team. She's a member of the NAACP New Brunswick Area and New Jersey State, is the New Jersey State Conference Communications, Press and Publicity Committee Chair. and a board member at Energy Justice Network. Richelle has committed to her work as a freelance marketer, assisting community organizations with graphic design, community engagement, research, campaigns, and program planning/coordination. Richelle graduated from Rutgers University with a B.A. in Africana Studies (Black studies) and Education
