Rebecca's background is in community food security, health equity and sustainability. She holds an MS in Agriculture, Food and Environment from the Tufts Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy, and her work focuses on maternal and child health programs that support healthy food access and sustainable food systems. Rebecca's role at the public health nonprofit Altarum includes qualitative and quantitative evaluation, coalition-building, and policy, systems and environmental change (PSE) strategies, and she is focused on improving participant experiences and reducing health disparities. She is a certified bicycle instructor with the Washington Area Bicyclist Association and teaches adults of all skill levels to ride bikes and safely navigate urban spaces. Rebecca is also a master composter/recycler and runs a community-based composting site in Washington DC.
