Hello, my name is David. I'm the Maryland Outreach Manager at the Chesapeake Bay Foundation (CBF), a clean water non-profit based in Annapolis, MD. I recruit, organize, and work with CBF volunteers and members of the community in the field on ecological restoration projects (riparian buffer/wetland/living shoreline plantings, regenerative agriculture, oyster restoration, etc.); and at the grassroots level across the state. I also serve as CBF's Community Partner for Break Away, a national non-profit that focuses on growing active citizens through experiential learning.

Additionally, I am a Keeper Aide Volunteer with the Primate Unit at the Smithsonian National Zoological Park, a certified Maryland Master Naturalist, and a graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park (biological anthropology and geology). I have previous experience in academic services, research, and elementary education. I have always been a lover of nature and the outdoors and feel strongly that all people should be stewards of the planet because of our reliance on clear water, fresh air, healthy land, and a safe environment - something all people deserve access to.

I look forward to growing and learning alongside the rest of the ELP's Chesapeake Regional Network over the course of the next six months and beyond!
