Living in Lancaster Pennsylvania I spent my childhood hanging out in the woods with my friends building bicycle trails and ramps or playing in creeks catching all sorts of critters. In high school I joined the wilderness club and fell in love with hiking and camping. After high school I spent years in new home construction while becoming a fly fishing guide and fly casting instructor. After the collapse of the new home construction market in 2008/10 I started night classes at Harrisburg Area Community College where I earned a degree in Journalism and another in Photography. I still guide fly fishing trips across Pennsylvania and love introducing folks to my favorite pursuit. I have been a board member of our local TU chapter in Lancaster PA where I was first introduced to some of the clean water issues facing our commonwealth. I love to play ice hockey year round and I also like to bicycle with my wife and children along the many rails to trails in PA. I intend to continue my education at Millersville University in the fall of 2019.
