Having recently made the shift to public sector, Alexis serves as a Planner with RCOC working on transportation planning, and improving road safety and infrastructure at the county level. Before this move, he worked at a nonprofit organization mainly focusing his efforts on advancing an inclusive model for community-driven resilience. He appreciates the wealth of knowledge residents bring to community planning efforts and is continually intrigued by work at the intersection of climate and equity.
Prior to these experiences, Alexis attended the Universty of Michigan where he received his Master of Urban Planning (MUP) and Masters in Natural Resources & Environment. He's a California native but moved to Michigan in 2014 and has made a home in Detroit since.
