Elizabeth is the Chronic Disease and Food Systems Specialist for the Richmond City Health Department. She has a dual Masters in Public Health and Social Work from Boston University. After completing her undergraduate studies at Wheaton College, Elizabeth acquired over 10 years of work experience in the social sector of the US and abroad, including: public health education, nutrition and food systems. Although relatively new to Richmond, Elizabeth has extensive experience in health curriculum design, program implementation, and evaluation. Elizabeth is passionate about creating healthy communities that promote environmental consciousness, bike and walk-ability, food access and equity and ultimately longevity. A Maine native, Elizabeth spent six years abroad working in New Zealand and England in the social sector. Her true passion lies in working with communities around health, food access and agriculture.
