Antuan Cannon is a co-founder and director of operations for Envirolution™, a 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to facilitating green economic development and empowering the next generation of sustainability leaders. At Envirolution™, Antuan manages development and implementation of Envirolution’s™ green workforce and business development programs, including the Win-Win Campaign™—an energy efficiency training and small business assistance program.
Born in Mexico and raised in Northern California, Antuan spent a year of high school studying in France before enrolling in Yale University. At Yale, he double majored in Economics and East Asian Studies. Fascinated by languages, culture, and traveling, Antuan also studied Portuguese and Chinese during college and studied abroad in Brazil and a Buddhist Monastery in Taiwan.
Prior to working for Envirolution™, Antuan worked as an energy auditor at EME Group, a full service engineering and sustainability consulting company that specializes in energy conservation and LEED projects. There, he managed the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) Small Business Energy Audit Program for the majority of the NYC metropolitan area.
Antuan has also worked as a strategy, marketing and sustainability consultant for various non-profit and for-profit firms; he sits on the executive committee of the NYC Chapter of the Sierra Club; and he is the co-chair of the Manhattan Borough President’s GoGreen Initiative Sustainable Business Committee.
