Carrie Hearne is the Director of Sales and Marketing at B-Line Urban Delivery, a transportation and logistics company and certified B Corp in Portland, Oregon. She is also pursuing her MBA in Sustainable Systems from Presidio Graduate School's hybrid program in Seattle, WA ('18, expected). Carrie grew up in the mountains of West Virginia and has lived in Portland, Oregon, since 2003.
Carrie’s career in sustainability began while working at The Standard, a Fortune 1000 financial services firm and downtown Portland’s largest private employer where she became the company’s first sustainability manager. Following The Standard, Carrie managed the Oregon business network for Climate Solutions, a Northwest-based nonprofit with a mission to accelerate clean energy solutions to the climate crisis. Carrie galvanized business support to help pass Oregon’s Clean Fuels Program, as well as passing the Coal to Clean bill.
Carrie earned her bachelor’s degree from Earlham College and holds sustainability certificates from University of Oregon and Willamette University. She has been a contributing member of the city's Climate Action Plan and previously served on the board of directors for the Northwest Earth Institute (NWEI). She is a past advisor for Women in Sustainability and the Environment (WISE) and in 2015, she was elected to serve for the Sierra Club's Oregon Chapter executive committee.
Carrie enjoys photography, baking and getting outdoors with her dog Timber.
