Chris Garvin, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, Partner, Terrapin Bright Green and Senior Associate, CookFox Architects specializes in environmental architecture and sustainable materials research. A graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA, he has been working on Sustainability in the built environment since 1998. Chris has been a board member of the Urban Green Council, the New York chapter of the USGBC and the co-chair of the AIA New York Chapter Committee on the Environment (COTE) and an Environmental Leadership Senior Fellow. He has lectured on a diverse range of issues related to the built environment and has taught at several universities including Carnegie Mellon and Pratt Institute. He advised the Bloomberg Administration on the development of the PlaNYC program, co-chaired the Green Codes Task Force and the Building Resiliency Task Force, both led by the Urban Green Council for the City.
