Chris's passion for sharing Vermont’s agricultural story has it’s roots in a trip to Terra Madre, Slow Food's biennial conference in 2006: Carlo Petrini, founder of Slow Food, addressed food producers from around the world, “Your story—the one we can taste, touch, smell, and see—is one of the most valuable assets to humankind.” Whew! Chris now serves on the board of Slow Food Vermont and works in food and agriculture in various capacities.
In 2009, Chris started Vermont Farm Tours, a culinary tour outfit based in Burlington, VT. Chris also chairs the Vermont Farm to Plate Network Agritousim Task Force as well at the Consumer Education and Marketing Working Group. Chris is also the founder of Grow Team ONE, a community gardening organization in Burlington, Vermont.
Chris graduated from Middlebury College in 2005 with a BA in geography.
