Cyndy is assistant professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Merrimack College in North Andover, MA.  She teaches undergraduate courses, preparing students for exciting futures providing clean water and active transportation for communities.  She is fascinated by the impacts of the built environment on environmental health and public health (water management, transportation decisions, etc.), and as a professor she researches those connections.

Before returning to UNH for her PhD, Cyndy spent 10-years as a water resources engineer, working In New England and internationally (Iraq, Lebanon, Palestine, Singapore) on projects related to engineering and public health, including storm water, wastewater, combined sewer flow, and local governance of water resources. She volunteers with a variety of projects, including local macroinvertebrate sampling/identification, Lego League, and leadership training for youth in Haiti with One Square World.  She is planning to bring a group of college students to Nepal this summer to repair a bridge damaged by earthquakes.  She also plays ukulele with the New Hampshire Ukeladies and loves to walk in the woods.
