In May 2013, I joined the Delaware Valley Green Building Council (DVGBC) as the Policy and Advocacy Manager. Headquartered in Philadelphia, PA, DVGBC is a non-profit organization whose mission is to inspire, educate, and connect people around healthy and high-performance building practices in our region. Drawing on the expertise of our 500 + members – who are architects, engineers, designers, developers, policymakers, etc. – I work to build local and statewide support for green building issues including energy and water benchmarking, green stormwater management practices, and updated building codes. I also developed and continue to manage a green schools program in Delaware with public and private K-12 schools that are interested in becoming more energy efficient, healthy, and sustainable.
Prior to moving to Philadelphia, I worked in Washington, DC as a fundraiser for a Democratic Members of Congress and congressional candidates. I graduated from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service with a bachelor's degree in International Politics and a certificate in International Development. Currently, I live in Center City Philadelphia with my boyfriend and our two cats.
