J. Sarah Sorenson
Sarah is the Director of Individual Philanthropy at Ocean Conservancy, an international nonprofit dedicated to protecting the ocean from today’s greatest global challenges. At Ocean Conservancy, Sarah works to grow and cultivate the organization's individual and major donors across the United States. Before Ocean Conservancy, Sarah served as the Director of Development & Operations at Potomac Riverkeeper Network, a regional non-profit working to stop pollution and restore clean water to the Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers through enforcement and community engagement. She has also worked with organizations including Food & Water Watch, San Diego Coastkeeper and the Udall Alumni Association. She holds a B.A. in Environmental Policy from Colby College and has won several awards for her environmental advocacy work, including a Morris K. Udall Scholarship in 2010.
