Jennifer is the founder of J. Wills Career Coaching, a career coaching firm for environmental and sustainability professionals. She coaches early and mid-career professionals in their search for career change and advancement. For more than 15 years, Jennifer has been advising and problem solving with clients to reach their goals. She’s been an attorney with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and a Brookings Fellow on Capitol Hill where she helped craft the nation’s chemical regulation law and worked with constituents to improve their living and work environments. A strong advocate of community service and involvement, Jennifer has taken leadership roles with local and national non-profit organizations, founded a pro bono initiative at EPA to provide legal services to underprivileged communities in the DC area, and founded one of the largest women’s cycling clubs in the southeast. She has been an active member of the American Bar Association for over a decade. Jennifer serves as a Board Member of Cosby Woods, a nonprofit that provides outdoor education experiences for children of all means.
Through J. Wills Career Coaching, Jennifer guides individuals through a thought-provoking self-discovery to identify a path toward finding the right career. She works with clients to identify their values and competencies, strategically expand their network, update their resume and LinkedIn profile, and prepare for interviews. Through one-on-one, video or phone meetings, clients gain confidence, become more competitive, and identify a career that fits.
Jennifer has a JD from the University of Kentucky College of Law, a masters in Leadership for Sustainability from Virginia Tech and a bachelors in Biology from the University of Louisville.
