I grew up in the Arlington, VA but was drawn to the New England region. After a year of policy work in DC I knew I needed to move to a field in which I would give back to the environment. I've worked at the Squam Lakes Association in Holderness, New Hampshire for three years now and couldn't be more happy or thankful to be where I am today. At the SLA I've gained experience doing conservation field work and managing groups of interns and AmeriCorps members. I moved into the Facilties Manager position back in November, which reduced my administrative workload and increased my time spent learning new skills and teaching others new skills. When I'm not working you can find me running, doing yoga, reading, cooking, and spending time with friends and family. I found filling out skills, interests, and affiliations very difficult. I'm early into my career and, as simplistic as this sounds, I can see myself in any environmental sector that strives to better the world.
