Miriam has grown food in New England, working at non-profits and small businesses, for almost twenty years. Currently she is a farm manager at The Food Project on the North Shore of Massachusetts. Her work entails growing and distributing lots of vegetables along side many people, including a core group of youth employees from diverse backgrounds. Working with the youth, caring for the soil, and striving to make the food system more just, are what draw her to the land each season. Miriam holds a B.A. in Geography from Middlebury College and is embarking on studies and a practice in mindfulness and meditation. She enjoys spending time with her family, exploring beaches, rivers and forests.
