Ravi wears multiple hats. In his day job, he serves as a human centered design / CX consultant internal at Liberty Mutual (and previously for many clients, ranging from Bose to Mass General Hospital, USAA to Adobe Software). As much as possible, he also works as a free lance facilitator / consultant covering a variety of topics ranging from diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice, to communication, to conflict skills.
Before spending 7 years as a consultant, Ravi spent 7 years working as an educator. Most notably, he worked as the Training Manager for City Year Boston (2010-2012). The primary focus of his work was to train 170 AmeriCorps volunteers for their work in urban public schools where they increase student persistence by tutoring in math and English, mentoring, offering classroom support, and assisting in school-wide behavioral and attendance initiatives. Before coming to City Year, Ravi spent fives years working in higher education, primarily in the areas of student leadership development, diversity, and civic engagement. Through this work he also helped with several university sustainability projects such as leading a student involvement committee as part of Lesley University's Sustainability Initiative and leading a study on decreasing student water use at the University of Connecticut. For fun, Ravi enjoys bicycle riding/repair, running, hiking, playing trumpet, and making poorly conceived art.
