I was born in Taipei, Taiwan and my family moved to the Memphis, TN in 1983.

I moved to Los Angeles in 1996 to attend university and Spain in 2008 for my MBA.

While my professional life started in NYC in 2000, my family owned a restaurant where both my brother and I worked since we were 8. Starting with odd jobs to running the cash register and managing some business. I worked internationally with a large global consulting firm for 8 years before starting my own business after getting an MBA.

Having come from an immigrant family where we were lucky to live the “American Dream”, the nature of my work now focuses on developing small businesses. This combined with my interest in developing economies, I have chosen to continue my business in that track where I get the opportunity to travel to work regions where I can truly combine my personal and professional interests.

During my professional career I had the opportunity to take a sabbatical to travel around the world. This along with doing my MBA in Madrid, I have come to better understand my priorities. My viewpoint now is that in my 20’s I was learning, in my 30’s I’m learned to develop my personal passions, and now in my 40's, well... we will see.

I am a lifelong learner, from new tech tools to fly-fishing to ukelele. I like to take an improv perspective to saying “yes, and…” as I know I learn through practice. This leads me to be a more action oriented individual.

I am pretty certain I am and will always be a bit hyperactive. While I’ve learned to calm my mind, I do enjoy just being in the flow. Surfing, climbing, biking, swimming, and nearly every body movement that gets me outside is what I really love.

In the past 15 years, I have lived in 8 different countries, allowing me to butcher 4 languages equally. The one thing that stays consistent is that I love being outdoors and have a desperate need for an international environment, where I can thrive as an anomaly to everything around me.

I am most comfortable in board shorts, t-shirt and sandals. I’m trying to become a complete waterman. I also don’t like smoothies with bananas in them. It ruins the flavor of all the other awesome fruits in the smoothie.
