Growing up and living in the city, I take time to enjoy nature all the more. The feeling of being in a vast open space outside of the city makes me appreciate that I have access to pristine outdoors nearby but I understood that not everyone had access to this experience. Growing up around a neighborhood park that I seldom played in due to its condition made me want to contribute to its revitalization; working to improve this park became my introduction to a career in urban parks and conservation and is what propelled me to continue working in this field. I believe in the importance of connecting and improving parks and open space for all.
Prior to joining Natural Lands, I managed multifaceted programs in non-profits and institutions throughout diverse urban communities.
At Natural Lands, as Director of Urban Programs, I oversees Natural Lands’ efforts to connect people to the outdoors in nearby urban communities including Coatesville, Pottstown, Philadelphia and Chester.
I share in Natural Lands’ commitment of “Creating opportunities for joy and discovery in the outdoors for everyone. In other words… “nature for all.”
